Google Play Store Gambling Apps
Android users in regions other than the UK, Ireland, France and Brazil will soon be able to find and download real-money gambling apps from the Play Store.Google has updated its program policy. Enjoy millions of the latest Android apps, games, music, movies, TV, books, magazines & more. Anytime, anywhere, across your devices.
Real-money gambling apps on the Google Play Store are currently only allowed in the UK, Ireland, France and Brazil but starting from March 1 this year, an additional 15 countries will be added to the mix. The Play Store policy change will allow gambling apps in Australia, Belgium, Canada, Colombia, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Romania, Spain, Sweden, and the United States.
The accompanying developer note on Google’s support page specifies four gambling categories including online casino games, lotteries, sports betting and daily fantasy sports. Developers of these types of apps will have to fill out a special gambling application form and make sure their app has an International Age Rating Coalition (IARC) content rating and meets Google’s Developer Policy Center requirements.
There are also requirements to prevent underage users from accessing these apps. In the US, there are per state and per-category requirements for gambling apps which are outlined in the table below (check the source link for more details).

Another exception is that most of the newly added countries will only permit government-run lottery apps.

Google is a disgrace, the sooner someone comes up with a different OS the better!
Non-iPhone gamblers rejoice: The Google Play Store will soon allow gambling apps.
There are, of course, a few catches. The apps will only be allowed in countries and states where the specific type of gambling in the app is permitted by law.
But the fact remains, starting March 1 Android users in the U.S. and 14 other countries — Australia, Belgium, Canada, Colombia, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Romania, Spain, and Sweden — will join Brazil, France, Ireland, and the United Kingdom as places where Google-sanctioned in-app gambling is allowed.
'We allow real-money gambling apps, ads related to real-money gambling and daily fantasy sports apps that meet certain requirements,' Google's support page now reads.

Also, folks in the U.S. should be forewarned. State laws still apply. So the question of whether or not you'll actually be able to take advantage of this policy change is a complicated one to answer. The gambling apps and types games that will be available in a person's area depends on the the state's regulations.
